Talking with our compatriots in Kassel, Germany. Lots of questions from people working hard abroad for a decent life - wanted HOME!

Together with Mrs. Lucia Guțan, Head of the "Diaspora Relations" Department within the Party of Development and Consolidation of Moldova, Mr. Ion Chicu had a meeting with several of our fellow citizens, who live and work in the north of Germany. The meeting, attended by about 130 of our compatriots, took place in the city of Kassel.

The absolute majority of the participants in the meeting are our citizens, who work in various economic sectors in Germany, leaving the country in recent years due to several factors - the main ones being the lack of prospects to get a home, the lack of places to work, endemic corruption and uncertainty regarding regional security.

At the request of the participants of the event, Mr. Ion Chicu presented a brief information about the evolution of the state of affairs in "Moldova of the good times", from which, like them, over 200 thousand people left in recent years. He told the people present at the meeting about the enormous difference between the salaries and benefits that the PAS governors assigned to themselves and those of the majority of citizens remaining in the country, about how Maia Sandu - once massively supported by the diaspora, spends hundreds of millions of lei from the budget so that her followers can brag in luxury at the expense of those who once voted for her, about doubling the number of employees in the ministries - the vast majority being functional incompetents from among the "cousins" and the gang of PAS NGOs .

Mr. Chicu informed the people about the 40 billion lei by which the state debt has increased since Maia Sandu took over the mandate - billions, which will remain a heavy burden on the children of Moldovans, but spent on the whims of a hypocrite, who forgot absolutely what he promised to the people in the elections.

A discussion followed on several topics addressed by the meeting participants. One of the issues that most concerns our compatriots in the diaspora is the creation of conditions for stopping the exodus and the return of people to the country. Mr. Chicu honestly told people that there are no magical solutions with immediate effect to radically change the situation in this regard, but if the current government did not stop the projects launched previously, which were aimed at stopping this phenomenon - things today would not be so dramatic.

To stop the exodus, it is necessary to act on the factors that cause people to leave the country, in particular:

- Difficulties in procuring a home;

- Lack of a job with a decent salary;

- Degraded public infrastructure;

- Uncertainties related to security.

In the years 2018-2020, several projects were launched, which aimed to improve the situation on these dimensions and, indirectly, contribute to stopping the population exodus. The vast majority of these initiatives were stopped by the PAS government, including the "First House" Program, which they decided to relaunch only now, 3 months before the elections.

They canceled the facilities launched in 2020 for the beneficiaries of this Program, but also of other mortgages, they allowed the increase of interest on loans for the purchase or repair of a home at rates inaccessible to people with an average salary. Accordingly, instead of contributing to the solution of this problem, which the majority of citizens leaving the country place in the top of the causes of the exodus, the current government has only aggravated the state of affairs.
